IT Cadre provides premier systems engineering and software development services that enable us to deliver complex systems and programs to our customers including:
In a perfect world, every business unit, department, employee and end user would be working towards the same goal, the same vision. Unfortunately, this rarely happens and without a unified vision, organizations lose valuable time and waste resources due to redundant systems and efforts, project re-starts and missing functionality.
IT Cadre developed the Methodology for Vision Achievement (MVA) to address this problem. MVA is a systems engineering methodology that is used to quickly analyze complex problems, resolve roadblocks, and envision solutions.
Using our Methodology for Vision Achievement (MVA), IT Cadre creates a single diagram where the strategic, operational and technical view of the solution intersects. This diagram of the solution which includes the goals and objectives, business processes, architectural framework, and systems and program funding, are all displayed and interconnected in one easy-to-comprehend diagram that all parties from executives to end users can use as a blueprint to move forward. When everyone is working off of the same picture, there is understanding and a clearer path to reach consensus; an easier and quicker way to move towards achievement.
Most firms begin with the current system and problems and then build a solution around them incorporating new features and functions. IT Cadre begins to build their solution from the vision of the end state that all parties from senior business leaders to IT Managers to end user organizations have agreed to.
Research shows that only 1/3 of all software projects are delivered on time, on budget and with the required features and functions1. With software project failure rates at over 60%, IT Cadre realized that the body of knowledge used to engineer and develop software was flawed. IT Cadre set out to re-frame the problem and build a better “mousetrap.” So IT Cadre developed their Methodology for Vision Achievement (MVA) to quickly analyze complex problems and envision solutions. After all parties agree on the vision diagram, IT Cadre uses their agile software methodology to design, build and implement the solution rapidly and cost effectively.
Our services and products address the entire resiliency management lifecycle. In direct collaboration with our customers, we define custom resiliency and continuity management programs comprised of one or more of the following components:
Given the extreme complexity of today’s business processes, a traditional disjointed approach to preparedness planning is no longer viable. Our integrated approach utilizes our domain expertise in the following areas to develop a single cohesive, enterprise-wide, resiliency management strategy and executable program:
Our true value to our Customers, however, is the manner by which we combine our industry recognized expertise with our proven experience in preparedness planning to increase their operational resilience posture through technology infusion, process unification, standardization, automation, and training, while balancing affordability and risk management.
In addition to preparedness planning activities, we enable our customers in several critical ways to successfully deal with disruptive events, both during and after such occurrences. In particular, we offer such services as monitoring of the incident response, measurement and data collection during the incident, post-incident review, root cause analysis, corrective action/preventative action (CAPA) analysis, and plan updates. We currently do not provide real-time recovery services such as backup data center services or alternative work space.
Through our advisory services, we continuously monitor and assess the latest developments and technology advancements associated with tools and software products in this arena. Acting as an independent honest broker, our strategies and solutions are not tied to specific software tools from specific vendors. Instead, in direct collaboration with our customers, we select, design, and deliver the most appropriate and best value solutions based on selected COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) products that match our customers’ current and future needs. This is consistent with our overall approach to resiliency management where our techniques are grounded in fundamentals of systems engineering, risk management, and abidance to national and international standards.
Through our advisory services, we continuously keep abreast of the latest developments in national and international standards and codes of practice in all relevant fields associated with resiliency management. Our experience has shown that the primary reason to consider standards is to enable continuous improvements through institutionalizing a common language, taking advantage of documented best practices, maximizing reuse, and ensuring consistency from incident to incident. It is only then that standards should be considered as a tool to comply with internal and external compliance requirements leading to potential certifications. We assist our customer to do both.
